West Highland Wheels offer a bike hire service for the West Highland Way. West Highland Wheels can place a bike for you at the start of the route in Milngavie, and we will collect it for you in Drymen once you have cycled the first leg of the West Highland Way.
The first stage of the West Highland Way is ideal for mountain bikes, there are good paths and the terrain is well suited to an off road bike. As local bikers we ride it ourselves, so we know you will enjoy riding it too!
The first section of the way is easy and fun to cycle on a mountain bike, giving you a head start on the West Highland Way. Taking a bike for the first stage (day one) also gives you more time to visit places like the Devils Pulpit, Mugdock Country Park, Glengoyne Distillery or even take a boat trip on Loch Lomond from Balmaha.
Collect one of our bikes in Milngavie town centre, or from your accommodation, and leave it in Drymen. We are a mobile service, so you can book in advance. Your bike will be waiting for you as you wish; either at your accommodation or in the town centre pedestrian precinct.
We have a small fleet of new mountain bikes with front suspension and disc brakes for 2018, so rest assured you will have a capable machine for the task in front of you.
Book early via our website to avoid disappointment.
