Forestry and Land Scotland will be undertaking some essential tree felling work in early August at Bridge of Orchy to make way for a new car parking area to alleviate some of the local visitor pressures in the area.
Whilst some of the felling is taking place, they will be required to hold members of the public and traffic at the edges of the safety zone which will include a small section of the West Highland Way. Banks persons will be employed at all the access points to the site to hold traffic and members of the public for a short period of time until the tree has been felled and made safe. The expected hold time would be 5 minutes with a maximum of 10 minutes. Please follow all safety instructions whilst in the area.
Updates on the timing of the work will be posted here.
** Start date confirmed Tuesday 7th August, hope to be finished with harvesting on site no later than the 1st of Sept subject to weather and ground conditions **
