The Highland Council’s Long Distance Routes team have cleared and waymarked a new High Route to the town centre giving spectacular views over the head of Loch Linnhe and the hills beyond. This new route stays 50-70m above Glen Nevis and traverses around part of Cow Hill before descending near the end of Alma Road near the Leisure Centre. It is then a short walk to the High Street and the terminus at Gordon Square.
