Bridge Work – North of Inversnaid

west-highland-way-logo

Over the coming weeks, walkers on the route should expect to see work being carried out to upgrade the handrails on some of the timber bridges going north from Inversnaid. They may be asked to wait a few minutes while work is ongoing, but the bridges will remain open. The only exception is Ardleish Bridge which has reached the end of its functional life and is being taken out of service. A short bypass will be in operation whereby walkers will cross the river via informal stepping stones until the bridge is replaced.
