In memory of Christopher Genga

We would like to express our gratitude to all family and friends for the generous donations made to the West Highland Way in memory of Christopher Genga.

Christopher’s son Adam told us:

“My wonderful Dad passed away suddenly on the 23rd May 2025. He loved the West Highland Way, he had walked it three times and it was his favourite walk in the United Kingdom. Dad had completed walks all over the country and abroad but he always talked about the beautiful countryside, the tough hills and the lovely people he met on the West Highland Way. He had asked me to complete the walk with him, but we never found the time, something that I will always regret. We decided to raise money for the West Highland Way at Dad’s funeral so more people can complete the beautiful walk for years to come. I promise I’ll walk it for you Dad.”
