 The West Highland Lodge is situated in an elevated position with fantastic views to the Mamore mountains, overlooking the village of Kinlochleven and the River Leven. Ideal for those walking the West Highland Way as its just a 5 minute walk up to the hostel on entering the village centre and down to the centre and down to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Why not take a longer break and explore some of the great outdoor activities on offer in Kinlochleven and the surrounding areas, there is plenty to choose from! With the Ice Factor climbing centre and Via Ferrata just on the doorstep.

The Lodge is a slightly smaller bunkhouse than the Blackwater Hostel but still offers the same level of quality accommodation for those on a slightly smaller budget. The hostel is heated by a modern electric gel heating system and is double glazed to ensure all rooms are warm and cozy (just what is needed after a wild day on the hills). The Lodge sleeps up to a maximum of 32 people in private rooms with shared bathroom facilities where soap, shampoo and shower gel is included. Each room is fitted with comfortable bunk beds.

There is a fully equipped self catering kitchen, dining area and comfy TV room for all guests and free WIFI throughout. Guests can make the most of the panoramic views over the mountains and village in the outdoor picnic area to the front of the hostel. Other facilities include a commercial drying room for those wetter days and for those travelling by bike there is a secure bike lockup. Our hostel is also dog friendly.
